In March 2021, the developer revealed that the local rating certification process was taking longer than expected, which ended up delaying the Early Access release of My Time at Sandrock even more. Its closed beta, exclusive to Kickstarter backers of a particular tier, went live on February 5 and was meant to last for "about three months."
